Why didn’t Mrs. Sikorski take minutes of a meeting between Trimble Township and Buckingham Coal when a contract to mine under a cemetery was signed in private? The Athens Messenger states “…the contract was apparently signed in violation of open meetings laws.” the story also states: “Kamento and Sikorski were both aware of the township’s obligation to vote on the contract in public and should have spoken up for the residents’ interests.”

On Pat Sikorski’s website’s home page there is an open letter to “fellow democrats”. I’m wondering if she wants to be auditor for the entire county or just “fellow democrats”?

Can Pat Sikorski explain all the citations in her audits and what steps she has taken to reduce the numbers of citations and/or findings ?

Since Pat Sikorski is so concerned about investing public tax dollars, how many real estate tax advances has she requested as Township Clerk and how quickly has she invested those dollars ?

If she has NOT requested tax advances in order to invest those funds, WHY NOT ?

This is probably the most negative election for County Auditor in recent memory. There have been lots of attacks against Incumbent Jill Thompson.

    Why ?

    Mrs. Sikorski,

Ohio law places more responsibility upon County Auditor than upon any other county official. Among the responsibilities of County Auditor is overseeing that funds are legally spent and tax revenues are properly distributed.

You stated in the Voter’s Guide’s that “preparing the tax bills and other bills in a timely manner should be the most important role of the Auditor” and “the Auditor must make the administration of the Auditor’s Office her first and only priority.”

What is your reason for minimizing the “watch dog” function of the County Auditor’s job, especially in light of the fact that if you’re elected, members of your Democrat Party will hold every office in the county government?

Would each candidate explain what their role would be in serving on Boards and Commissions ?
