League of Women Voters of Athens County Candidate Forums

Athens County Commissioner: The only contested race is in the Democratic Party. The Athens County Commissioner Candidates Forum will be on Thursday, April 15, at 7pm at the Athens Public Library.

U. S. House of Representatives 6th Congressional District: The only contested race is in the Republican Party. The Candidates Forum will be on Thursday, April 22, at 6:30pm at the Athens Public Library. PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!

The League of Women Voters of Athens County asked each of the candidates for offices that are being contested this year to respond to some questions. The Voters’ Guide that will be published in the Athens Messenger shortly before the election will contain the responses we received.

In addition to the Voters’ Guide information, the League also collected responses from the candidates to other questions. These questions and the candidates’ responses, unedited and exactly as received, will be posted here in mid-October.
